Spring is Coming
Yesterday was the first day of spring, a day giving the promise of hope; the hope of renewal, rebirth, and looking forward to better things yet to come.
For many though, yesterday was just another day. It was a day where hearts remained broken from the pain of trying to keep the darkness at bay, and where the promise of hope was simply too hard to be found.
My own family has had a rough couple of months. We lost my beloved Aunt Wanda, and now my grandmother is in the hospital fighting the battle of congestive heart failure. I know many others around the world are fighting similar battles. Some days are harder than others, like when the darkness is so overwhelming that hope seems to be nothing more than a fantasy, something untouchable or obtainable.
It’s during these times when we have to push a bit harder, cling a little tighter, and believe deep in our hearts that even though it doesn’t seem likely, spring is coming.
It’s coming in the hope that with Jesus nothing is impossible. It’s coming in the fact that He promises to never leave nor forsake us. It’s coming in the belief that He will meet you exactly where you are. It’s coming in the knowledge that everything we will ever face on earth is temporary. Pain will one day be but a memory when He wipes away all the tears from our eyes, and we will live permanently with Him in Heaven.
If you are in pain and struggling, I invite you to to seek Him today. I invite you to reach out in the faith that even in the worst of times, He is still there and although it may not seem possible, spring is coming.
