John 14:15-17, 21 NIV
“If you love me, you will obey what I command. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you…….Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.”
Our message in church today was one of “truth.” I was so blessed by the service because I’d had one of those weeks where the enemy kept trying to bring me down by whispering words in my ear; words that were not of truth, but of darkness. After much prayer, I realized that it all came down to making a choice. I could listen and obey God, or I could continue to let Satan discourage me with his lies. As you go into this week, be wise in the ways of truth. Make sure you’re listening to the right voice by choosing carefully. I choose God, what about you?
John 8:32 NIV
“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
James 4:7 NIV
“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
