Dying to be heard

I recently received an email from a beautiful lady asking me to promote Mesothelioma Awareness Day.

Heather Von St. James was diagnosed with the rare and deadly disease called Mesothelioma when her daughter Lily was only 3 1/2 months old. Given just fifteen months to live, she decided she was going to beat the odds so she could be there for her newborn daughter. After seven years, Heather is still alive (Amen!) and she now feels that it’s her duty to pay it forward by inspiring others to do the same.

Using her personal story to raise awareness of this little known cancer, and provide a sense of hope for others facing the difficult challenges of life, she has asked me to help share her story. I want to challenge you to read her story by clicking on the banner below. Let’s help Heather reach her goal today to have 7,200 social media shares.

Today, September 26, 2013 is Mesothelioma Awareness Day
  • Every year around 3,000 people are diagnosed with mesothelioma, a deadly cancer caused by exposure to asbestos.
  • On average, they are given 10 months to live.
  • That’s 300 days.
  • 7,200 hours
