Book Review of Believe

Believe, NIV: Living the Story of the Bible to Become Like Jesus

I’m reviewing Believe, NIV as a book reviewer for Harper Collins. I picked it not knowing if it was a Bible or simply a book. Once I received it, I discovered that it was a little bit of both.

How do you think, act, and be like Jesus?

Reflecting on the book:

Believe, NIV: Living the Story of the Bible to Become life Jesus is described “a spiritual growth experience for all ages, taking each person on a journey toward becoming more like Jesus in their beliefs, actions, and character. It helps you answer three significant questions: Can you clearly articulate the essential of the faith: Would your neighbors or coworkers identify you as a Christian based on their interactions with you and your family? Is the kingdom of God expanding in your corner of the world?” Containing 30 chapters, they are divided into 10 key beliefs, 10 key practices, and 10 key virtues of a Christian.

When I first started going over this book and reading different sections, my first thought was that this would be a great resource for a new Christian. After delving into it a little more, I realized it would be a resource for any Christian.

Each chapter deals with a particular subject, such as identity in Christ, joy, faith, and more. The chapters are filled with selections from the NIV Bible and short paragraphs explaining what each selection is about. It’s a wonderful way to learn more about Scripture. It’s divided in such a way that makes reading exciting and addictive.

I highly refer Believe to all readers, and look forward to reading every verse and paragraph in detail.
