Book review of Wake up to the Word

Review of Wake up to the Word: 365 Devotions to Inspire You Each Day

As a book reviewer for FaithWords, I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing several books for Joyce Meyer. She is such a gifted author and I look forward to reading each one.

Format

Just as the title says, this book is a devotional, and beginning with January 1, it contains a devotion for every day of the year. The book is about 7 1/2 x 5 1/2 in size, absolutely perfect for gift giving. It’s hardcover, but the cover itself has a bit of a puffy feel to the front of it. Each devotion begins with one word to focus on, and a short definition of the word. The devotion is short and very easy to read and understand.

A lot of our problems are often a result of complaining when we have been praising or thanking God.” pg. 97

My Final Thoughts

I was very pleased with this book. I love the format, the size of the book, and the way it was written. It would make a great gift for someone’s birthday, or as a Christmas present. I recommend it, and look forward to giving my copy away to a friend very soon.

God is always with us. This truth makes all the difference in life and is the key to being able to live without fear.” pg 201
