Review of The Mind Connection: How the Thoughts You Choose Affect Your Mood, Behavior, and Decisions.
As a book reviewer for Faith Words, I was asked to review the paperback version of Joyce Meyer’s, “The Mind Connection.”
One of my favorite books is Joyce Meyer’s “Battlefield of the Mind.” When I saw the title of her latest book and that it was similar to her previous book on the mind, I was instantly sold on doing the review.
“What does God think of you? He thinks you are awesome and that you have great possibilities. He is not blind to our faults, but He looks at them in light of our entire life and not just one event in which we didn’t behave well.” P 87
As I began reading this book, I realized that it was something I needed for myself. I’ve always had trouble with my thought processes, and Joyce Meyer has a way of exploring the mind – thought connection that made it very relevant to what I was currently going through. I found myself keeping my pen close by so I could underline sentence after sentence.
Chapters with titles such as “anyone can be happy,” “positive self-talk,” and “thinking about what God thinks about you,” all combine for a great read; one you will keep nearby so you can re-read when needed. I truly recommend this book by Mrs. Meyer, and I’m so glad I choose to review it.
“Not only does the mind affect our bodies but it also affects our performance in all areas of life. Replace self-defeating thoughts with enabling thoughts in order to perform at your highest level.” p. 201
