Review of NKJV Journal the Word Bible, Large Print
As a member of the Harper Collins book review team, I’m reviewing the NKJV Journal the Word Bible.
Containing the complete NKJV text printed on a beautiful cream colored paper, this Bible is a hard cover with extra wide margins on each side of the page. The margins contain lightly ruled lines, useful for taking notes or drawing pictures. The pages are a little thicker than a traditional Bible to allow a better surface for drawing. The cover is absolutely gorgeous. It’s teal blue with a floral design on the front. The material feels like cloth that covers hardback.
This makes the third journal Bible I’ve reviewed this year. As an author and artist, I can’t imagine a more perfect combination than to have a Bible I’m able to draw and take notes in. So far though, I’ve disappointed in the ones I reviewed. The main reason is due to the size of print compared to the lined margins. Due to the addition of the margins, the print shows up so much smaller. I’m happy to say this Bible changes everything. Advertised as a large print Bible, it is just that. It’s a large print Bible with still lots of room for margin space. Is it as large print as a traditional Bible? No, but that doesn’t take away from the overall look of this one. I’m so excited to finally find a journal Bible that I love. I highly recommend this Bible and can’t wait to give it to my sister as a Christmas gift. If you are looking for a journal Bible with lots of room to draw and write in the margins, but still maintain a great size text, this one is for you.
