Review of Be the Gift: Let Your Brokenness Be Turned Into Abundance
As a member of the Harper Collins book review team, I’m reviewing Be the Gift.
If I was asked to pick a favorite author, Ann Voskamp would be high on the list. Her first book “One Thousand Gifts” is a book that I’ve given away as a gift to friends. It truly is a work of art, and since then I don’t hesitate when it comes to buying anything else she’s written. This book is tied into her latest book, “The Broken Way.” It contains key selections from the book along with beautiful pictures that Ann herself photographed. As a photographer this was an added bonus. The book also has “60 days of Give-It-Forward-Today ideas, free gift tags, and space to journal your experiences of gifting.
As I previously stated, I’m a huge Ann Voskamp fan, and this book was everything I hoped it would be. The words are so God-giving, showing us how He can take our brokenness and replace it with abundant hope, joy, and healing. My entire way of thinking has changed when it comes to giving and receiving gifts. I hope you don’t hesitate to buy this book for yourself, your family, and friends. I highly recommend it.
