Review of Battlefield of the Mind Bible: Renew Your Mind Through the Power of God’s Word.
As a member of the Harper Collins book review team, I’m reviewing Battlefield of the Mind Bible.
One of my favorite books will always be “Battlefield of the Mind” by Joyce Meyer. Due to an extremely vivid imagination, I’ve always struggled with attacks on my mind. I seem to be constantly thinking unnecessary thoughts, things that keep me from focusing on God the way that I should be, so when a friend suggested I read “Battlefield of the Mind,” I did and it ended up being one of those books that came into my life at a much needed time.
The Bible I’m reviewing today is based on that book. It is the Amplified version of the Bible, a version I was unfamiliar with at the time of this review. It’s a hardcover book, with the majority of the text black on white paper. The secondary text is blue (including each book name, chapter numbers, and special features such as Book introductions, Winning the Battles of the Mind, Prayers for Victory, Keys to a Victorious Life, Power Points, Speak God’s Word, and Scriptures on Thoughts and Words). This Bible also contains an inscription page at the front, along with a personal word from Mrs. Meyer, and a content page. The back of the Bible has a place for notes, and a colored map section.
Like I said above, Joyce Meyer’s book, “Battlefield of the Mind,” will always be one of my favorites. I couldn’t wait to get a copy of this Bible in my hands to see if it matched up to the book, and I have to say I wasn’t disappointed at all. Mrs. Meyer covers so many important issues dealing with the mind, and how to control our thoughts. I especially liked the Amplified version. It wasn’t one I was familiar with, but I found it very easy to read and understand. I’m extremely pleased with this Bible and would highly recommend it to my readers and friends.
