About Him

How long have you been searching for someone to say, “I love you” and actually mean it? How many times have you wanted the reassurance of knowing that when someone says they will never leave you, you could count on it to be true?

Hello dear friend, I’m so glad you’ve found your way to this spot today. I want you to know it’s not by accident you are here.

This section of my blog means so much to me, because it’s where I get to tell you all about Him, my best friend. Please give me a moment to talk frankly with you. If we strip away all the religion, the different denominations, the judgmental talk and finger pointing, all the who’s who, and what’s what, we are left behind with a very beautiful picture of love.God’s message to you is that He loves you. Yes you! He loves you more than you could possibly imagine. He loves you so much that He sent His son to earth so that He could die for your sins.

‘For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.’ (John 3:16 NKJV)

‘But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were sinners, Christ died for us.’ (Romans 5:8 NLT)

God’s love is so very different from the kind of love we receive and give to each other. As humans we fail each other daily. We make promises that a lot of times we are unable to keep, and we are forever more hurting each other with careless comments that wound and scar.

Listen to what John 14:18 tells us about God’s love:

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
I will be your God throughout your lifetime
until your hair is white with age.
I made you, and I will care for you.

When God makes a promise, He is faithful to always keep it. You can stand on those promises, never worrying if He means it or not. His faithfulness is renewed to you every single morning, and He promises to never leave you, never forsake you.

‘For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.’ (2 Corinthians 1:20 NLT)

‘Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.’ (Lamentations 3:23 NLT)

‘And the Lord, he is the One who goes before you. He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.’ (Deuteronomy 31:8 NLT)

He made us, He cares for us, and He wants nothing but the absolute best for our lives. Most of all, He wants to give us the peace that surpasses all understanding, and the knowledge that someone cares for us above all others. He offers this to us through His Son Jesus. (Philippians 4:7)

All of us have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory, therefore Jesus Christ, my Savior came to earth to die for my sins, die for your sins. He did it unselfishly, offering His body as the ultimate sacrifice. (Romans 3:23)

‘But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins.
He was beaten so we could be whole.

He was whipped so we could be healed.’ (Isaiah 53:5 NLT)

He doesn’t ask for much in return, just that we agree to accept Him into our hearts believing that He is Lord, was indeed crucified for our sins, and died and rose again after three days.

‘Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.’ (John 11:25 NLT)

‘If you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.’ (Romans 10:9-10 NLT)

Once you confess your sins, Jesus will never again remind you of them. They will be wiped away by His precious blood. You will be clean and whole, and for the first time in your life you will feel peace and joy.

‘And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.’ (Hebrews 10:17 KJV)

‘….in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.’ (John 16:33 NKJV)

‘And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.‘ (Luke 1:47 NKJV)

My dear friend, I wish I could make this decision for you, but I can’t. This is something you have to do on your own. I can make you a promise though. Knowing Jesus is truly my life’s passion. I can’t imagine having to face the day without Him, so I promise you, asking Him to come into your heart will be something you will never regret doing.

I’d love to know if a decision has been made, or if you have a question or comment for me. If I don’t know the answer, I will be sure to find it for you.

‘In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.’ (John 14:2-4 NKJV)
